A Historical Milestone for Bogotá
Million Consulting Services traveled to Bogota, Colombia as part of an audit team to conduct a comprehensive assessment of the city's C4 for certification through Mexico's NENA. A C4 is the Command, Control, Communications, and Computing Center which handles emergency and security for the city's 7 million residents, equivalent to a 9-1-1 center in the United States.
The audit team measured the C4's operations against 94 specific industry standards which included everything from call processing times to back-up infrastructure. This was a week long process that required working onsite at the C4, meetings with the directors and employees, and collaboration with other members of the audit team.
The Bogota C4 achieved certification on Friday, June 9, 2023, becoming the first emergency number call center in South America to achieve this status! Million Consulting Services was honored to be a part of this historic milestone.
Monica had the honor to meet Natalia, a wonderful and courageous person, a call taker with the will to help others even though she has a physical challenge limiting her ability to use her hands to type.
